Name/s: Craig Anthony Schiller. Confirmation name Alexander, though I
rarely use it.
Ethnic background: German, French, Ukrainian.
Gender: male.
Birthday: November 26, 1971.
Astrology: Sagittarius, moon in Pisces, Cancer rising. Don't actually
put that much stock in astrology, though.
Career: as of time of writing, non-existent. Nominally a journalist,
reconsidering due to total lack of success at getting my foot within
100 feet of the door, let alone inside it.
Current location: Toronto, ON (1996 - present).
Past locations: Walden, ON (1971 - 1990), Ottawa, ON (1990 - 1996).
Hair: brown. Not as much of it as there used to be, but not yet to the
point of shaving it off.
Eyes: hazel. Four when I'm reading.
Dimensions: 5'10"/165.
Siblings: one younger brother.
Favourite food: Greek, Thai, Italian, French-Canadian (comfort food).
Alcohol: microbrewed beer, Scotch. Rarely if ever have more
than two or three drinks in a night anymore.
Other drugs: apart from a very occasional joint, only the legal kind.
Shoe Size: 11 men's.
Clothes: jeans, chinos, Eddie Bauer shirts. Yer basic young adult
business-casual uniform, albeit not the hippest variation on that.
Hats: a few baseball hats , usually extolling mid-90s Canadian
indie rock bands, universities or Toronto gay bars rather than
baseball teams. One Greek fisherman's cap. One dopey black Big It Up
beanie for cold winter days. One cheap folk festival fedora. Don't
wear any of them very frequently.
Body mods: two earrings (one in each ear), one tattoo on my upper left
arm.
Brain: "You have just about the most amazingly broad intellect of
anybody I know. You know something about *everything*." - J. Smith,
March 2001.
Sex appeal: people keep asking me for nude pics. See later entry.
Personality: friendly and loyal to established friends, so painfully
shy around strangers that I've actually been mistaken for autistic.
Slight tendency toward (mild) depression, but generally pretty
together emotionally.
Pets: two cats (Bailey, a jet-black cuddleslut with a bit of a vicious
streak, and Madison, a whiny but usually touch-phobic tabby), both of
whom actually belong to my roommate.
Geek cred: am sometimes confused with Adam by random sockbiters.
Generally more artsy than geeky, though.
Bicons: Boston, 1998. Hoping to make it to Vancouver this summer and
Sydney in 2002, but not making any promises.
soc.bi parties: nothing organized as such, but many adventures
travelling around various and sundry cities sightseeing, eating or
drinking with collections of individual sockbiters. Plus a couple of
naked romps with boys who know who they are.
Other bi involvement: Toronto Bisexual Network, TBN/BIWOT Pride
Committee, BiPress, BIACT-L, BiNetCanada.
Kiersey rating: INFP.
Purity rating: don't remember, but it was pretty low.
Kinsey rating: pi plus one-half pi.
Internal self-identification: slightly pervy motss-identified bi-fag
with fluffbear tendencies. Will also accept "queer" for short.
External presentation: usually perceived as straight-acting by people
who actually care about such things. I don't. I think I come across
much closer to the centre of the straight-acting/gay-acting scale.
Fluff/Spike: I go both ways on that one. Though even my spiky side
tends to get labelled as fluffy. Definite cuddleslut.
Transport: I ride the rocket.
Usual result: "Sorry I'm late, boss, I rode the rocket."
Politics: non-partisan leftist with a slight libertarian streak that I
try to keep in check. Ultimate goal is to be benevolent despot of my
own alternative civilization.
Sport: really ought to get to the gym more than I do.
Religion: I do believe in a Supreme Being, but I don't particularly
follow any one path to reach that goal so much as I take my spiritual
community and practices where I find them. Nominally Catholic, rarely
go to Church or pay any attention to the Pope, and liberally
interspersed with bits of paganism and Buddhism.
Music: 80s/early 90s alternative, folk, jazz, some electronic. Smiths,
R.E.M., Radiohead, Kate Bush, Sinéad O'Connor, Sarah McLachlan, The
Cure, Curve, Rheostatics, Spirit of the West, Stan Rogers, Depeche
Mode, the Tragically Hip, Sarah Harmer, XTC, Neil Young, Joshua
Redman, Miles Davis, Bjork, the Wonder Stuff, Nirvana, Rollins,
Delerium, etc. Owner of about 300 CDs and at least as many cassettes.
Books: CanLit (Margaret Atwood, Robertson Davies, Alice Munro, David
Adams Richards, Guy Vanderhaeghe, etc.), politics, philosophy, poetry,
queer-positive spirituality, cultural analysis. Library of 500 and
counting.
Movies: Canadian and world art-house film. Last five flicks seen at
time of writing: _Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon_, _I'm the One That I
Want_, _O Brother, Where Art Thou?_, _Traffic_, _New Waterford Girl_.
Other indulgences: mango juice, NTN trivia, Lapsang souchong.
Nude pics: only if you send me yours.
