I always reply, though not neccessarily for few days. That said, don't send me email which is only in HTML with no plain-text section; my spam-filter throws them away before I ever see them.

I love to chat by email, especially with people in faraway parts of the world and from different cultures. It doesn't matter if we'll never meet (though I have had the opportunity to visit friends I made on the net as far away as California). Of course if you're in the UK or just live at the other end of my street we have at least that in common to talk about!

I have an SMS-capable phone and do text a bit but really I prefer email.
